Intro to computers

This are places are very important to be it is where I live right now, where my parents grew up and where born and my elementary school. Where I live right now it is really important because thats where I spent a lot of memories with brother and family. In this house me and my brother where getting a long so this house has a lot of memories; some are good and some are bad. El Salvador is really important to me because that is where my parents grew up and where born. I really like El Salvador eventhough is really poor it is a nice to visit family. My elementary school is really important because that is where I met my friends and I had a good time in that elementary and I like my teachers.

Since the beginning of the year, I had improved in many things like audio, organization, and video. I learn many elements in what can I use to keep me organized. Webs is a really good website instead having a portfolio in your hands you have it in your computer that will be there forever and you can’t lose it. This website has helped us a lot and one of the main things was organization. Webs also have like many layout like were to put embedded videos and other things like titles, Image, Dividers and other things. I also learned what can I use for audio and how to edited, it is audacity. Audacity has helped like edited our video if you make mistakes and making it louder. My greatest strength of my portfolio is my cadd page. I have embedded videos, Sketch up pictures, reflections, and links. I think it demonstrates almost everything we have done. We have the embedded video that we get from Gmail/Drive. It uses a great tool which is Sketch up, which is a really good program to create dimensions. We also used Macromedia Fireworks to helps edit our pictures that we took of our work from Sketch up. It also is the page that we did the Group Challenge, which I think my group did really good.The part of my portfolio that I need improvement is my home page because it really isn't what I expected my home page to look. I know I have a Voki and everything. I think my home page needs to be more colorful. I think it needs more improvement like maybe put like picture of everything we are going to be using like app inventor, Sketch-up, webs, and further more.My digital Portfolio is really important because first of all because it will be a great portfolio to present to the college/university I want to go. Also it will help me with projects, and I just can go back to my portfolio and have an idea. It also will help me to make a portfolio of my own and I can use it for college.This what I have learned and need to improve in my portfolio.

I didn’t know much about go animate; I thought it was going to be complicated. It really isn’t that complex you can create a character or make one. It’s really fun assignment to do, and there are different places you can have as a setting. My Go animate video is about two friends that are talking in a classroom. They are talking about what are they going to do after graduation and what careers they want to go and what university or college, they want to go. For my go animate video, I met all the requirements. The standards were to create movement in the characters; I did various movements in both characters. Another Standard was to talk about any educational related. The final standard was the video to be more than a minute. If someone else was looking at my go animate video; they will think that I like helping people and I want to go to UCLA. Also, that I want to either become a psychologist or a lawyer. If I had the opportunity to change my video will be changing the voice of the characters because the robotic voices don’t sound the same, as you want them to be. Another thing I will change is the setting and more characters in the background instead of two. This assignment was similar to the other assignments like voice thread, prezi, voki, Google presentation, and Screencast-o-matic. They are all related because all of them you have to be creative, It helps you organize your information or your story, and they are all easy to use and better than other difficult. There different because each one has a different purpose.

Reflection

This semester was little difficult for me but I learn a lot. I didn’t know much about computers, I only knew a few things (the basic). An important tool that we use was Gmail, we save everything here it was like a flash drive or even better. We had to make a schoology account so we could see what our agenda was and also we use it too post discussions and links so other people from our group could see it. We also made a webs account so everybody could see our projects and what we work on. Finally, we made a twitter account and put our information in what we were doing and we had to follow people from our classroom. A website we use in the beginning of the semester was typing web. Typing web is a fun activity that I really enjoy. We have too type without looking at the keyboard. One of our first projects was with our group was making a script about a make believe story. I and my group made about a dog that had magical powers, he was a scientific experiment. I enjoy this activity because everybody wrote what they thought and someone else from the group added from there. We made a drawing related with this activity also. For the end of the semester we had to choose three stories that we wanted to write about our digital story. I choose to write either about my mom, childhood, or about my brother death. I wrote about my brother’s death because I wanted to send a message to everybody to not lose the opportunity of saying I love you to their families. I didn’t have the chance to say I love you too my brother so that was my message. Then we made a script about our story that we choose. Then we made a PowerPoint in our Google drive and did what our script said. We need our recordings on audacity which is really useful tool. Audacity is tool were if you mess up you could fix it by using this tool. This part was more difficult for me from digital story was the movie maker windows because pictures something went wrong with them. The problem was that I downloaded the pictures in a lot of places so it didn’t work. This problem I had to put my images all over again because it didn’t work and start my project all over. The only thing missing for my final project is put one picture and fix my audacity which has low parts and high parts of my voice which I could use the levelator. This project has teach me a lot now I know go to make a movie.

The power of Belief

I pick this story because they bring a message that I really like. The point of view of this story is not given up, believe in yourself there going to be a lot ups and downs, but you have to learn to keep going. The first one is a student that didn’t believe in himself but there was a teacher supporting him. Telling to take extra classes to be able to go to college and become successful in life. He became successful and become a counselor. This was an example of the speaker’s voice which is a way to personalize the story. An example of emotional content is that I had a teacher like this, Ms. Garza she was really nice teacher and she encourage every one of her students to do good in school. She made me come out my shell she toll if you want something do it not let nobody stop you. Katian’s Story

The second story is about this girl that love’s a lot her grandmother. She was very upset because her grandmother was sick. Unfortunately, her grandmother died she was really upset. That was day that she lost the person that she love. My emotional content is, to losing somebody that I love, I lost brother. He was everything to me we were really close and that day was one of my worst days ever too. The way she did the video was good the pictures match what she was saying and the soundtrack also. I think the main point of this story is to appreciate things you around and you and family members, because you never know how much you love them until you lose them. Magical Lessons

The last story is magical lessons; it is about a girl that she grows up watching Disney movies. She love them, now she is grown up she does activities for little kids and meets new friends and travels around because of the Disney program. The speaker’s voice adds to, is she loves Disney because it teaches lessons. I really like this story because I agree with her in that Disney does teach "magical lessons". The only thing this story is missing is to have Disney pictures. Also, the magical lessons story needs in the background music like Disney soundtrack so the story could entertain them and give all those emotions to the reader, lastly it needs like short clip of a Disney movie so the reader could relate to that. My emotional content is that I had seen the lessons that are being teach too, like “Beauty and Beast” is that it doesn't matter if you're pretty or not what matters is if you are a good person .I also love Disney movies there the best.
